Project Insight at Rowan University


Project Insight is run by the Clinical Health and Social Experiences (CHASE) research team in the Departments of Psychology and Computer Science at Rowan University. Insight is a research program that explores the use of social connections and information about other people as ways to support healthy behaviors. Dr. Danielle Arigo (Project Director) is an Associate Professor in Psychology at Rowan University and a licensed clinical psychologist in NJ and PA. She also has appointments at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Arigo specializes in social influences on health as well as the development and evaluation of digital tools to promote healthy behaviors and reduce risk for cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Andrea Lobo is a Professor of Computer Science at Rowan University. Her research in smart health includes the development and evaluation of tools for physical activity, the effectiveness and work satisfaction of direct support providers that assist adults with disabilities, and the engagement of friends and family of individuals with opioid use disorder. Dr. Lobo is also Principal and co-Founder of the supply chain business analytics company SimAcumen.
